Corvid Express is busier than ever this month delivering packages! Good thing the neighborhood has decorated to spread some holiday cheer!

Wanted to give a small update this month that includes some holiday visuals and quality of life updates.

Holiday Visuals

These will display in-game around the month of December and are just something fun I wanted to add to the game :).

• Santa hat for Stanley!
• Snow!
• Xmas trees!
• Xmas lights on houses!

Updates

Replaced house assets - The Xmas lights were clashing with the old house assets and made this a good opportunity to move away from the tileset used in the jam.

Delivery indicator - One of the common asks from testers was a visual to let you know how many deliveries you had left. This is now displayed in the top left corner of the screen.

Improved shuffle - The previous shuffle was allowing too many cases of consecutive addresses (sometimes making a level easier than intended). There should be less cases of this with the improved shuffle.

Control indictors on first level - Some testers tried using the crank as a method to move vs the d-pad, while others didn't know you could jump (until they fell into their first hole). Control indicators for movement and jumping added to the first level to help with this. Utilized these input icons from Cassie (thank you!).

Mini game control indicators - Testers also reported that it'd be nice to know what the controls are in a mini games since death doesn't wait for you to figure it out. Control indicators added to each mini game.

Future

I was going to set this project aside after the jam, but I've had so many positive responses that I want to make this a more complete game with the intent to sell! I would keep the original levels as "world 1" and add more worlds with their own sets of levels. I'd also be adding more mini games to give more diversity to "bird time". Always open to hear ideas!
