100 downloads!
I am very thankful to those who have tried the game. I made this game for the Yellow Square Jam and honestly thought only the participants of the jam would try the game out (14 people/submissions). I will admit to a little self-promotion on Discord and Reddit, but the analytics show most the traffic came naturally from itch itself. Specifically, from the tag-playdate "Most Recent" and "New & Popular" sorts.
Yesterday, the game went over the 100 downloads threshold, and I was ecstatic to see this! To some, 100 might not seem like much, especially to seasoned developers (and personally, I hesitate to even label myself as a "developer"). My perspective though, is to imagine 100 people standing right in front of me. That's crazy, right!? Again, I have to echo how very thankful I am to those that have tried the game.
I was going to swap back to another platformer project that I was working on before the jam, but now I question if I should put more work into Suddenly Bird first.
Suddenly Bird (Playdate)
Delivery platformer where you sometimes turn into a bird!?
