Shield Arena (Playdate)
A downloadable game
Shield Arena is a top-down action game where you clear waves of enemies! How many waves can YOU survive?
Controls:
- D-Pad to move directionally.
- Crank to rotate your shield.
Mechanics:
- White projectiles do not hurt enemies.
- When a projectile has been reflected by the player's shield, it turns black. A black projectile hurts enemies, but not the player.
- The player's shield does not protect against physical damage (this includes the shield power up).
This game was made exclusively for the Playdate handheld console. Read how to sideload games here.

This looks fun, arachnoid, meets tennis, meets the shield defendy thing from Zelda. Downloading!

I had a quick blast of it last night. The idea holds up well. One point though, the bullets fired by the meanies need to be clearer/more visible? The black bullets that are returned are clear enough. I have ancient eyes though :)
I'll see what I can do to improve that in the next update :)
